Large impressive mauve-purple flower spikes are outstanding cut or dried flowers an a magnet for butterflies. Blossoms open from top of spike; simply remove spike tip to trim away faded flowers. Use in the sunny perennial border or for naturalizing in the wildflower or prairie garden. Blooms mid summer. Attractive planted with rudbeckia, echnacea or phlox. Very drought and heat tolerant.

Uses: border, mass planting, container, cut flowers
