Serviceberry is rare in that it offers interest in every season. It kicks off in spring with beautiful white flowers, which develop into tasty purple berries that attract birds in early summer. Leaves turn to a beautiful shade of red and orange in fall, and it's silvery bark offers winter appeal.

A compact form of serviceberry, white flowers appear in spring with 'blueberry like' edible fruit to follow, the fruit is enjoyed by people and birds, foliage will change from green to yellow and scarlet-red in fall, use the fruit in making jellies and jams or fresh eating, native to the mid-west and tolerates dry or alkaline conditions.
