Japanese Iris ensata 'Variegata'
Japanese Iris ensata 'Variegata'

This variety produces smaller purple blooms with green and white striped variegated foliage.

For best results, transplant to a larger container. Then place plant 6" or less below the water's surface.

The Aqua Garden is a select mixture of these essential varieties. Marginals add height to the garden while providing some shade and shelter to their aquatic neighbors. Each colorful combination will thrive with its roots submerged just below the waterline. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Container plant. Winter hardy. Cut flower. Blooms early to mid summer.

Uses: water garden, pots and tubs
Sun to partial shade
Plant in wet or constantly moist soil
Height: 27" - 29" tall
Growability: easy

Fertilize with 1 pond tab every 4 weeks. Cutting of dead flower stems will keep the foliage looking good.
