Basil, a popular herb in Italian dishes, pasta sauces, meats and salads. Heavily scented leaves can be used fresh, dried or quick freeze. Pinch to promote bushier plants. Pinch flower stocks. Harvest if temperatures are expected to dip below 40 degrees in the fall. Heat tolerant.
Aristotle Basil - Tiny flavorful leaves create a mound perfect for containers. Use fresh or dried. Recommended harvest at 6".
Dark Opal Basil - Handsome, deep purple heavily-scented leaves are followed by pink flowers.
Italian Large Leaf Basil - Large, scented leaves for pasta sauces, meats, salads. Lavender flowers. Prefers moist, nutrient-rich soil.
