Star-shaped golden-yellow flowers with orange-red edges and central stripe bloom in summer on clumps of sword-shaped foliage. Blooms mid-summer to early fall. Pair with Tickseed, Yarrow or Coneflower. Attracts hummingbirds. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Tender perennial in northern climates. Crocosmia form corms similar to gladiolus. They should be planted 3 per gallon, 2" below the soil. Grow in full sun. Where hardy, they produce large clumps of narrow, sword-like foliage with long, arching flowering stems. Spectacular when in bloom. Protect with additional mulch in northern climates.
