Shrub. Large, single lavender flowers are adorned with a lacy center to create an anemone-like bloom. Beautiful for use in a mixed container, or incorporated into a mixed border. A mass planting will create an easy-to-grow privacy screen with lots of late summer color. Butterflies love this plant! Deer resistant. Heat tolerant. Salt tolerant. Attracts hummingbirds.

Uses Notes:
Great large shrub for landscape use, young plants can be used in containers but will need to be moved to the landscape as they mature. Also incredible when pruned into a small tree. This is a great addition to the mixed border, or can be a nice specimen
Maintenance Notes:
Blooms in late summer. Grows in any soil unless it is either really wet or dry. Prune in late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned, but this is usually not necessary. Prefers medium moisture. Deciduous shrub. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees and shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. A supplemental dose of liquid fertilizer may be needed in mid summer.
